Somaliland Nursing and Midwifery Association (SLNMA), on behalf of Direct Relief, Donates Emergency Medical Supplies to the Somaliland National Army and Hargeisa General Hospital

The Somaliland Nursing and Midwifery Association (SLNMA), acting on behalf of Direct Relief, today handed over emergency and disaster-response medical supplies to the Somaliland National Army and Hargeisa General Hospital.

The donated items consisted of comprehensive medical equipment and supplies that are essential for emergency response and healthcare service delivery. The handover ceremony was attended by representatives of SLNMA, the management of Hargeisa General Hospital, and officials from the Somaliland National Army.

Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of the donated supplies in strengthening healthcare services and enhancing the emergency response capacity of the beneficiary institutions, particularly during times of crisis and urgent medical need.

The Director of Hargeisa General Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Wali, expressed his gratitude to the Somaliland Nursing and Midwifery Association (SLNMA) and Direct Relief for their support. He noted that the donated equipment would significantly contribute to improving the healthcare services provided by the hospital to the community.

Similarly, Dr. Farhan, a senior health leadership official within the Somaliland National Army, thanked all those involved in facilitating the donation. He emphasized that the medical supplies would play a vital role in emergency response efforts and in providing healthcare services to military personnel.
