The Somaliland Nursing and Midwifery Association (SLNMA) has conducted a two-day training on leadership and management for department heads at Hargeisa General Hospital.

The training was jointly organized by the Somaliland Nursing and Midwifery Association and Hargeisa General Hospital. It aims to strengthen the leadership knowledge, management skills, and professional capacity of department heads at the hospital.

Participants in the training are being provided with an opportunity to learn best practices in leadership and management. The training is expected to contribute to improving the overall management of hospital departments and strengthening the quality of healthcare services provided to patients.

During the opening session, Khadra Ali Egal, Executive Director of the Somaliland Nursing and Midwifery Association, and Dr. Ahmedweli Daahir Xaddi, Director of Hargeisa General Hospital, addressed the participants.

Both speakers emphasized the importance of effective leadership and strong management in healthcare institutions. They also highlighted the need to continuously improve leadership practices and management systems to ensure better healthcare delivery and improved services for the community.

The two-day training is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity of healthcare leaders and enhance the quality and effectiveness of health services in Somaliland.
